When it comes to selling a property, more people visit Right Move than any other property website to start their search.
Whether you are a buyer, a seller, or a voyeur who simply loves to check out the latest properties online, Right Move is probably where you love to go first. Only Amazon, E-bay, You Tube, Google and Amazon are more popular than Right Move. There are two main reasons though why you should not and cannot advertise your property for sale privately on Right Move.
Firstly, all the property featured on the Right Move website must comply with the requirements of the Property Misdescriptions Act 1991 which makes it illegal for property developers and estate agents to make misleading claims. Secondly, Right Move does not allow vendors to advertise their properties for sale privately through Right Move. While many may consider this unfair there is a very good reason for the strict enforcement of this rule by Right Move.

How to find a good estate agent

Look at similar properties in your area that have been sold and find out who handled the sale – an estate agent who is experienced in knowing your type of property is probably going to be the one most likely to be able to realise the best price and have the best chance of securing a sale more quickly, as they are most likely to have a ready made database of prospective purchasers on their books looking to buy similar properties in your area.
4. Check the Terms and Conditions of Appointment before you sign with any estate agent and compare terms with other agents if you are having trouble tying to decide which one to instruct.
