Thinking of selling your property but not sure on when?

Whats best time of year to sell a house?

We have all heard hundreds of selling tips that may or may not have worked for someone you know and I am quite sure that we’ll be hearing even more of them the longer we have our homes on the market. In fact, there is a direct correlation between the number of selling tips homeowners receive in their social media feeds and the number of days the home is listed on the market. Some of these tips might be good, while others might just seem ridiculous.

Well, we here at Zevizo Properties are going to add another one to the list with the only difference being that this selling tip is effective. Sell your home by the season – when is the best time of year to sell a house? Does that mean you should wait until next spring to sell your home instead of right now? No, it simply means that using seasonal accents will ensure potential buyers linger longer and we all know that the longer they stay in your home, the more at home they begin to feel.

Let’s take a look at some things that you can do to help your home sell by the season.

Decorate using throw rugs and be sure to spotlight functional fireplaces. If you are selling your home near the holidays, be sure to add some festive touches like wreaths and pine-cone centerpieces.

Fresh-cut flowers, spring scented candles and bright, cheery centerpieces will welcome in spring, and potential buyers. You can also add pops of color to the entry and landscape as well.

Summer brings so many things and we should highlight as many as possible. Creatively decorate your patio or other outdoor areas and place light colored linens in the bathrooms, bedrooms and sitting areas. If it’s hot out, keep the home cool but not cold, this will be welcoming without detracting.

Autumn: Create an autumn landscape by decorating both inside and out with seasonal flowers, pumpkins and tricolored corn. Clear the lawn of leaves and avoid any Halloween decorations that could seem off-putting.

By decorating your home using seasonal accents, you will entice potential buyers into feeling more at home in your home than in their own. This is what will help seal the deal.
